But the main question is, How is it going to affect us in a short run and long run? First thing first, according to many analysis experts Corona may not be going any time soon. Even when it’s gone, it’s after affects may change the world we see now a days. And it may take around 2 years for us to completely go back to normal
Let’s find out, all possible issues we may face even after Corona.

·      POSITIVE IMPACTS:

1.   DECREASE IN AIR POLLUTION: The skies are clear due to COVID-19 lockdown, according to one of the article, UK has reported a precipitous drop in Nitrogen dioxide content in air by as much as 50% in the first few days of lockdown and have even dropped further since then. It can be kept at this low rate with proper management even after the lockdown.

2.   DECREASE IN WATER POLLUTION: It has been documented that since the lock-down the water quality of Ganges river has improved with an increase in dissolved Oxygen and decrease in nitrate concentration, even all the tributaries of Ganges have shown a recorded improvement in water quality. This can even be improved in future after the lock-down by taking effective measures which may promote a healthy lifestyle and eradicate many unwanted diseases.

3.   WILD LIFE: Even since the lookdown have been observed in most of the countries. Many photographs and videos have been going viral showing how the animals are enjoying the empty highways and roads and how freely they are roaming. This may produce a very nice impact in coming years if we some what try to preserve it. Many of the endangered species will revive and grow, it has even been reported that Giant Panda have mated naturally after about 10 years! That’s huge isn’t it?

4.   GREATER SENSE OF SYMPATHY AND LOVE: Out of many things we have learned, one greatest thing we have learned it how much our friends and family means to us and how much bad we have been with either one of them just for some trivial and materialistic things. Human will develop a greater sense of sympathy and love, a lot of us our going to see the world in a more positive way and will prefer to spend time with family and invest in our relations more than ever.

5.   BOOST IN MEDICAL & SCIENTIFIC PROFESSION: If you are a medical or science student chances are you may have much better job opportunities than ever before with even much higher pay scale. Because the major thing we have learned from the pandemic is that global community should invest more on health care and research since even many of the developed countries are very badly affected by the virus, result being less funding in the field of medicine and research.

6.   GREATER OPENINGS FOR IT PROFESSIONALS: Even after the lock-down is over, online shopping and food delivery will be preferred for a very long time. Online businesses will be on the highest scale than ever in the history. People will prefer to pay via credit card than by cash. All this will open a lot of opportunities for IT professionals.

7.   JOBS IN ENVIRONMENTAL RECREATION: This can be a very nice time to preserve the nature and this will require a lot of human force to do this.

8.   HEALTHY LIFESTYLE: People should count this time as a blessing for their health. Develop healthy habits, eat healthy. Instead of ordering food, cook your own food. This will promote a healthy lifestyle as well as family time. Many researches highlight that people who eat at home tend to have a happier and healthier life style.

·      NEGATIVE IMPACTS:

1.     FINANCIAL CRISIS: Many countries in the world will be going towards financial crisis and the effects can be seen even from now. As per as U.S is concerned more than 33 million people are unemployed, or a real unemployment rate of 20.6%. This rate is said to be the highest rate in the history since the year 1934. And which such a high unemployment percentage this is going to take a while to go back to normal. Therefore, don’t invest your money in stock market as it may collapse. Save money as much as possible, it’s even preferred to buy gold and silver as there is a chance that many of the currencies are going to drop to a record limit.
As the price of crude oil has dropped to the minimum rates by as much as 20 USD/Barrel, economy of many countries will be affected a lot particularly the Middle East countries. Tourism is not coming back any soon either which may also effect the economy of many tourist-friendly countries.

2.     LACK OF JOBS: Even after the corona pandemic, many jobs are not coming back any soon such as Waiters, Tour guides, Receptionist etc as it is expected that social distancing will be observed to some extent even after the pandemic is over. Normal city jobs and busy office jobs may be compromised as well.

3.     BAN ON LARGE GATHERING: Yes! You heard it right. It is expected that many countries may not lift the ban on large gathering for a minimum of 2 years. A gathering of more than 8-10 people will not be allowed. Which may contribute to a lot of behavioral and social changes in human, it may even change the way we interact with people. Online food delivery and online shopping will be preferred for some time being.

4.     PEAK IN FINANCIAL GAP: It is believed to reach its peak. Poor will become poorer and rich will become richer. This will drastically increase crime rate, decrease the law and order situation on country, poverty rate may peak even more and a lot more stomach will sleep without food.

5.     SCANTY RESOURCES: The electricity grid may not be sufficient therefore it’s better to have an option for any alternate source of producing electricity such as a windmill or solar panel. Some even predict that it will be a smart move to grow fruits and vegetables at your own yard rather than depending on the suppliers. Stock yourself with basic utility items, medical supplies and batteries but not only for yourself but also for those who are in need.

6.     INCREASED CRIME RATES: With the entire decline in economy and loss of jobs, many are going to be unemployed and have to struggle for food and water which will affect the low and order situation and increase the crime rates. For this, you may need to be physically and mentally healthy. It’s even better to have self-defense skills as thing may get pretty rough.

IN A NUTSHELL..

As of every picture there are two sides of the coin. With all this, let’s pray to learn from our past mistake and transform this world into a happy place and that we have to face none of the above negative impacts mention above. But even if we do, it’s better to be prepared than to face suffering and loss.
